Samuelson's Rock

John Samuelson was a Swedish immigrant who lived in the Quail Springs area of what is now Joshua Tree National Park.  He had some very firm ideas about nature, god and income inequality, which he etched into rocks around his homestead in 1927.

2016 Itinerary

Our budget generally makes slightly off-season visits to slightly less popular places the way to go.  Last July, I don't think we would have predicted staying in any of the places we've ended up putting on our itinerary.  Yet, we are really excited by every place that's on the list.
